Team roles and what each one can do

Owners, admins, and members — who controls what inside a workspace.

Each team workspace has a simple role hierarchy. There's no complex enterprise RBAC — we've intentionally kept it minimal because most teams don't need more.

Owner

The owner is the person who created the team. There's exactly one owner per workspace. The owner can: rename the team, change the team password, delete the workspace entirely, promote members to admin, and remove anyone (including admins).

Admin

Owners can promote any member to admin. Admins can: invite or remove members, delete any file or folder in the workspace, and view the full activity log. They cannot change the team password or delete the workspace.

Member

Default role on join. Members can: upload, download, rename, and move files; create folders; delete only files they personally uploaded. They see the activity log but cannot manage other members.

Changing roles

Open the team page, click Members in the sidebar, and use the role dropdown. Role changes take effect immediately.
